ARCTIC GATES - cryo hop ipa - 5.2%
Cryo hops are still relatively new to the beer market. They are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin (the part of the hop plant in which the hop’s acids and essential oils are found) from the hop flower, using cryogenic processing. They enable brewers to increase the intensity of hop flavours and aromas without introducing astringent flavours or vegetative material.
The hops used in Arctic Gates are Ekaunot, and Azacca (plus a cheeky bit of Simcoe) leading to a passionfruit and pine tropical IPA. Crisp and hoppy with a simple malt bill that allows the hop fruits to flourish. This IPA leaves a good bitterness on the palate, balancing the fruity flavours.
